There are so many times in life we find ourselves in a holding pattern. Do you know what I’m talking about? Nothing is really happening in your life. Your job sucks. Your financial situation sucks. Your social life sucks. Maybe you wouldn’t say it sucks really, but it’s definitely boring and there’s no perception of real progress. What’s really going on here?
Boredom is a metaphysical signal of both your body and soul telling you:
''You shouldn't be doing this right now''.
Don't ignore that message, or you'll get sick sooner or late. I swear, it is true.
Boredom is the metaphysical cause of almost all kinds of sickness.
You might be waiting for that big break, that windfall of cash, that hot chickor dude to come and ask you out.Let me tell you a secret: It’s not going to happen.
Ouch. That kind of hurts, don’t it?
That’s right. No one is going to do it for you.
Now, get over it. You have work to do.
This is all about getting out of your comfort zone.
Taking daily risks.
Here are some ideas:
-Talk to a stranger
-Take a professional risk
-Go somewhere alone
-Make a scrapbook
-Cook a new dish
-Get crafty
-Attempt telekinisis
-Flirt with someone
(yes, even if you are in a committed relationship, way better to spice things up a little than be dead boring!!)
-Change your mind about something, then change it back
-Write a letter to your future self, your recovered self about what you’re going through right now.
-Read Homer in the original Greek or learn Greek
-Take a shitload of pictures of you in funny poses and/or outfits and pick the best to post on Facebook
-Coordinate your wardrobe
-Be your amazing you!
