Why I write my posts in English

  I have been repeatedly scolded by Greek online friends for posting in English as I am Greek.
  They have been accusing me of not loving my language enough etc.So  here's my answer to them in both languages:
  Each and every language is as unique and awsome as those people that speak,think,dream and create in it.
  A language is only a tool,divine and unprecedented in all creation of course,but still just a tool.
  If you want a pure and awsome language,be pure and awsome yourselves and your language will follow suit,
  doing a great job at reflecting your purity and awsomeness.
  
  Unfortunately it doesn't work the other way round.
  My friends,lovers of anything ancient Greek,raving on about preservation and purity of our language
  ,your zeal is of course admirable,but you are clearly putting the cart before the horse.
  
  The reason the awsome ancient greek language spoke and keeps speaking to people's hearts all over the world
   IS NOT to be found in its form and structure,syntax,grammar or rich vocabulary.....
  It is to be found in the people that spoke it.THEY were awsome and pure and so the wealth of their soul
  was clearly depicted in their language in an indelible and blindingly beautiful manner.
  
  If you'd like some of the same,please stop dreaming of utopic returns to our 'roots'.
  Instead,start being as awsome,as pure,as free,as richly humane and God-like as they were and your language will follow suit,
   automatically and effortlessly.If you are confused,lacking in identity and orientation,the language you speak will reflect that right back at you.It's not exterrnal factors that made the language less rich.WE HAVE IMPOVERISHED OUR LANGUAGE BECAUSE WE HAVE BECOME LITERALLY AND METAPHORICALLY IMPOVERISHED AS BOTH INDIVIDUALS AND PEOPLE.
  
  And no,other languages and their eroding influence are not to blame for it,nor do they pose a threat to ours.
  As Christ once said,stop cleaning the outside of the cup and do sometrhing about what's inside,which is full of impurities
  .Be awsome and your language will follow suit.
